Neolamprologus helianthus

Bericht door JensenBreck » 09 okt 2017, 16:27

Hello,

I have a pair of Neolamprologus helianthus (Sunflower) and thinking of moving them to a 60gal 48"L tank with a group of Synodontis catfish. How well would the synodontis thrive once the Sunflower's start breeding? Would feeding cause any problems as I like to use auto feeders?

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

If you create enough rocky hide outs, I see no issues.
What Synodontis species are you considering?

N. Helianthus can be feisty little fish, they took up over half of my 130x60x50 tank when they were breeding.

As tretofan said, in a 60 gallon tank, if you decorate it well, you should have no problems with some synodontis though. Syno's are pretty hardy fish. Synos and l. multifasciatus/similis are probably the best fish to combine n. helianthus with if you want a stable tank in a small/medium sized aquarium.

Talking about helianthus makes me miss them... probably the coolest pair of fish I have had in about 16 years of fishkeeping.
